Redoing the entire front suspension on my 72 grabber (302) power steering and im not sure what parts i need.
    ive already got new coils
    Shocks (KYB Gas A just)
    LCA Bushings (poly)
    7/8 sway bar kit
    Not directly related
Hedman Hedders 88300 (not installed yet)
and a new oil pan gasket
    disk brakes from a firebird
its safe to assume that all parts on this vehicle are stock from 72 and are all worn out. this vehicle is going to become my daily driver. so i can stop driving around my moms 78 chevy luv. im the guy doing the suspension write up on the forum so any and all help is appreciated
ive got about 800 to go into just the suspension
P.S. i dont know how to weld

You didn't mention quite a few parts. The spring has an upper seat.
You might consider the following. Upper controll bushings, upper ball joints, spring perches/saddles. The lower controll arm comes with a new ball joint AND the controll bushing. I don't know how I would feel putting a new poly bushing into a arm that has a worn ball joint. There is also the strutt rod bushings, steering linkages like tie rods, idler arm, and the power assist also has a ball stud that wears. I may have missed something..

buddy off mine pulled em off a while back and gave them to a guy that has an older mustang i think its a 69 he hasnt had the time to install em so im gonna pick them up from him
as for the parts i listed those are just the ones i have ordered. so you recommend replacing the lower control arms? with which ones the global west ones on summit look nice but i cant fork out 400 for just those.

If I'm thinking correctly, aren't most firebirds/camaros front steer? Please elaborate on the firebird brake swap

maybe it wasnt a firebird then. the brakes are the same lug pattern and they fit on a mustang. which also got me thinking could the disks of a jeep work theyre the same lug pattern 4.5 on 5

MOOG parts are the best. I would try and find MOOG bushings. Also, Firebird parts don't fit.

It appears you are trying to quench your thirst drinking the same drink one after the other :pub:
