Driveable cars are starting to out number undriveable. That was almost unexpected.

kind of funny that this has turned into a "list what you have done, are doing, and still need to do to your car" thread. But good reading so far :thumbs2:

    Done and driveable for me.
I'm happy with the car and it drives anywhere I want to go no issues.
I can always come up with something to change though, or improve. It will never be finished and thats the whole point. I enjoy tinkering with it. If it was finished and I couldnt work on it I'd sell it and start all over again.
I class finished as a trailer Queen pushed into a show.

I am in the process of making a spoiler, sport mirror, and hood scoop upgrade.
Drilling holes in my car kind of scares me a little. I'm going to paint the scoop black. The other parts are going the blue body color.

later i'm planing to swap to small bumper.
Engine swap to 302 with shifter on the floor.

I’m pretty much done it’s very drivable I have a set of Bobcat tail lights, a rear defogger on the way, I would like to buy new carpet, have the front seats reupholstered there not too bad, and install an electric fan, touch up bottoms of both doors/new door skins? It has new bushings, ball joints, shocks, wheel cylinders, master brake cylinder, wires, and plugs. I keep thinking of taking a huge loss and selling it. I really want a 78 Mustang II King Cobra or V-8 Pinto or V-6 cruising wagon lately I’m real bored and depressed lately for no particular reason.

excellent done a almost everything except for taking the engine and trans out. new brakes new interior(still no headliner). rebuilt carb, finally got the gas tank float fixed:) and beautified the engine by dressing it up. just one tiny miss in the engine most likely a exhaust leak somewhere

The Maverick- Daily driver driveable. I might try to slick it up one day, maybe even do a small bumper swap. Maybe.
The Comet- driveable, but the brakes suck. Why fix 'em when I'm gonna go disc later? Trans leaks a little. Why take it all apart when it's gonna get a different motor or trans later? Front/rear windows leak. Why fix 'em when it needs cowl repair and a quarter replaced. Bottom line-it needs alot, but it's still driveable/moveable under it's own power and until I get the cash to do all the above(and then some) I'll leave it alone. Parts tend to disappear and/or end up in places you can't remember when cars are dismantled for long periods of time.

That just brings you back to option 1. Its like a jigsaw puzzle, once you are done the fun is over and you take it back apart to do it all over again.

My car is drivable but in the process of upgrades. At present, I am restoring my AC/Heat box and installing modern AC unit nx spring. Also, new suspension stuff nx season along w/ new seat covers, front and rear.
After these upgrades I will look fwd to body/paint in 2012.
