Im sure that this has been ask allot on this forum but when i did a search i got way too many threads to sort through.
1972 grabber 302 everything is stock but im buying the intake kit from summit (http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CMB-03-0202/)
im making my grabber my daily driver and my coworker recommended a new cam and lifter set for my mav. i dont know which one to get i read that the edelbrock rpm one is good any other suggestions.
this is not going to be for the track probably ever but i would like this thing to have more power.

The performer plus package (Edelbock) is a bit over stock and makes the car fun to drive. Still gas friendly for the street.

Much more than that requires new springs, and all sorts of stuff to make it work well together. At that point, you may as well look at new cam and rebuilding the engine to match all the parts.

You could probably do better buying used parts on here than buying that kit. That is pretty steep, in my opinion, for off-brand parts to make your engine just a touch better than stock.

Anything below 510 lift is a good cam for a DD. I have the trickflow stage 1 cam and it is a great cam with 499 intake 510 exhaust roller. I have had the elgin cam .456 lift and it was a great cam too.

If you plan on going over 460 lift, i would recomend heavier valve springs.

Scooper beat me to it by 30 sec.

the motor is running strong right now and i dont have the money to do the complete overhaul that i should. the front suspension is sucking my funding dry
but the edelbrock kit will be on my next order

Just about any 302 lifters would work. I would try to get some comp cam ones myself because im just picky, I match my lifters with my cams.

X 2 on this one. The 286H is made specifically for low compression engines like his. It will also be freindly to his pressed in rocker studs.

Edelbrock has a cam that is made for the manifold that you are going to use. You save shipping if you get it all from one place. Having the cam match the intake is good for power and economy.
