Wow...it just keeps sounding sweeter all the time. Is the K member Chromoly or mild steel? Just curious.
The strut tower braces are definitely a must....a monte carlo bar would be a good idea. I put one of these in a customers car and with a slightly heavier motor there was about 3/8" of flex in the shock towers when I would let it down on the lift. Also noticed this on my RRS setup but I have the triangulated strut tower bracing.
Mike, I see your shock towers are shaved, is this necessary for this suspension kit? it doesn't look like it would be. What made you choose this over a Mustang II set-up?
I would think this is one of the biggest benefits of this setup...the towers are now vertical with the frame rails, giving you a ton of room in the engine compartment...just my
Shaving the towers is not necessary but in my opinion it is one of the biggest advantages to this suspension. It is the primary reason that I did this install. I wanted larger headers than the 1 5/8" tubes that I was running. I chose this over the M-II because this is a bolt in. I will be able to give more feedback after the header install and I get it on the track.
Update Custom Headers & Exhaust are complete! I am so excited. He did a great job. Next I will send the Headers out to have them coated. Any recommendations on coating?
