Do it some time in feb and I might be able to be there from IL. We have a wedding to go to in Tucson that month. Do they still do the cuise night thing at Safeway @ North 83rd in Peoria?

As far as I know they still do that on Saturdays. I was thinking something like that for a meet. that way if other Mavericks dont show there are still alot of other cars to look at for the guys that had to make a long drive to be there. Would just need to get there early to reserve enough spots togethor.

I will go for whatever, but i moved here to not be in the cold!!!!! since the best way to do it is to have everyone plan around it, why not in the spring? good weather, good mood, good cars, and great B-S. i can do a cold weather meet, but i wont be comfortable. either way im in!:Handshake
give me a call if you want to set it up in tucson.

I think Phoenix will be our best bet to get the biggest turn out. Higher concentration on members, and closer for the guys up north and west. I'll wait a little while before throwing a date and place out there incase some guys have an opinion. But if nobody else wants to then I guess I''l take this bull by the horns.

I was thinking Feb. also. Not too far away that people will forget about it but not too soon to plan around it. Plus later in spring people start getting busy with travel, spring break, and good weather fun. Mid February is about 2 and a half months away, should be planty of time for some guys to get their cars done, MNtony might actually get his cold side piping done by then (it seems He is always almost ready to do that, :biglaugh:).

I hate the cold as much as anybody. But you can always put on a jacket. If its too hot, you can only take off so much clothes before somebody gets offended.

Below 75 is cold? I lived 35 years in the PHX area and 75 is PERFECT! :bananamanTry doing puddle weld inspections on a zinc plated 10,000 square foot standing seam metal roof on a new Peoria car dealership in the middle of July and you might rethink you like it hot? Maybe it's because I was born in Up-State NY and I'm genetically cold blooded?

Is the big swap meet still at the Peoria Sports Complex in Feb?

yeah.... everbody thinks the same about my thinking below 75 is cold. thats just me. lived in chicago 15 years, okc,ok. 8 years. im just not cut out for it anymore. its 47 here - i have on sweat shirt and pants with a hoodie and the heater is going. its to cold to get dressed. maybe im just getting old.
anyway if this jumps off in feb, so be it. im there. dont think my car will be ready by then. but i will bring my amera to take cool shots of all the other mav/comets there. looking forward to it. my daughter lives in phx. maybe we can find a place to meet up to eat, then car show or swap meet, whatever.

I can only send 4 messages every 5 minutes to the Az members. this may take a while. 2 recipients at a time, two times every 5 minutes. Good thing work is slow today.
