72' Maverick Restoration need help asap Don't currently have pics up, but am in the process of restoring a 72' Maverick. I am currently at a pickle and need to know what I should do motor wise, it is an inline 6 250 and is locked up big time
Welcome from the great NW. There are people here that could give you better info that me with that problem but I would probably take the head off of the engine to see if the pistons are rusted and take it from there. Good luck.
Thanks, hopin to get started soon on it im hoping for some good results when i pull the head im hopin to rebuild it
Welcome to the board. Are you going to swap to a v-8? If so now would be a good time. Before putting a lot of money in the 6.
Yes most likely a 302, think inline is trash anyways it is locked up and hasn't been started in over 20 years, i just dont know what to do with it once pullued out of the car
Garden planter...big blue paper weight...Or a good project for a firstime rebuilding an engine experience. If you plan to put a 302 in it, dont bother with the 6. It will cost as much to re-build as it it will to square away a use running 302 and drop it in.
Well im pretty well decided that im gonna go head and put a 302 in, what are some good places to get replacement parts
