Shock tower chop or not?

    I am going to be running a 302 with Hooker 6901 headers on it. Is it advisable to chop the shock towers, or perhaps not necessary with this combination? Now is the time to do it, if I should. Thanks for any input. John B.

    pics of the clearance. There is plenty of room with the 6901's.

    The 302 and 6901 Hookers are an easy deal and require no mods.

    Thanks for the responses guys. Your news is encouraging. I've realized that I left out one detail. I hope that it doesn't matter; my car will have a toploader. Is this likely to creat any problems for me with the headers? Thanks again. John B.
