Only have a couple things left to do then I'll be ready to fire up the new motor. I've left most of the hoses a little long because I haven't decided how I'm going to route everything. If things continue to go on schedule, I should fire it up on Saturday. :bananaman

The only thing better than firing up a new motor is test driving it. Looking good!!!

Thanks guys. I absolutely cannot wait. Last night I put the driveshaft back in, so I am another step closer to actually test driving it when I do start it. :) TheMadMav, it's a 90 5.0 with 9.8:1 CR, has a Comp XE268HR cam, forged pistons, Edelbrock RPM heads, Weiand Stealth intake, and 600cfm Edelbrock carb. I did clean my dizzy Elliot, the cap anyway. :p

Sounds like a great combo Matt!
When you decide you need to faster (in my experience it's when rather than if) you've got room for lots more camshaft to get the most out of those heads.
I bet that thing will just rip as is though.
Nothing like lighting off a fresh hotrod motor. Woohoo!
Don't forget to go seat the rings right away.

Ok, got everything on my list done! Decided not to try to fire it before lunch, because once it starts I may not come back in the house for a while. :D Gonna fire it up after lunch!!!
