Well I'm 23 and I'm here to say that not EVERYONE does. The term "posi" gets on my nerves.

Same here. That word should never be spoken on a Ford forum.

What about the unfortunate Chebby owners of 302's in their Z28's ? Or the few of us Ford guys who have had the privilege of owning 427's, and those who bored and stroked them to 454's ? Or those who have owned Boss 429 Hemis ? Or 427 Hemis ? Or 4.6 and 5.4 Hemis ? Or how about the Cleveland guys who got Q-Jet carbs on their motors from Ford ? Nevermind that the Cleveland head design was copied from Chebby  And now the Chebby guys who are now touting the advantages of the 383 stroker, which by the way is very nearly a clone of the old 390 Ford ? There are so many more lines crossed between manufacturers than just positive traction rearends. It gets tiresome to hear someone correct others about trivial things when everyone else knows what they're talikng about. A chevy "posi" and Ford Traction Loc rear are damned near the same differential, they may not share the exact same parts, but they do have the same basic parts and function exactly the same.

So does every car on the road be it a new Toyota or an old Model T...they get you from point A to point B.

Now you're nitpickin again.:naughty: But yes, they're all "cars" Just like most everyone says they're going to get a "coke" to drink, even though they're often going to drink some other brand of cola, or some other flavor of carbonated beverage.

They may all get you from point a to point b, but the comet is still better.
