    Yeah, that's what I said.

And Ford says 500 (FIVE HUNDRED), not "425-475"...

Ever heard of the Society of Automotive Engineers? They govern how the automakers rate their engines. And ever since the early '70s, its been at the crank, with all production accesories (smog, A/C, power equipment etc) attached. Go ask ANYONE at a site revolving around late-model Mustangs and they'll tell you.

    Or check this place: http://forums.bradbarnett.net/forumdisplay.php?f=114

'Ever heard of Ford Motor Company? Yeah, they've been around for a LONG time, and they claim that the 2007 Shelby GT-500 Mustang produces 500 horsepower at the rear wheels. What part of that don't you understand??...

No, they just say 500hp. Do you WANT me to dig up half a dozen dyno graphs? In fact, too late, I already am.

And HERE's a dyno graph (the red is the baseline): http://forums.bradbarnett.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=22768&d=1175166089

Here's a thread with some stocker dyno graphs: http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showthread.php?t=53384&highlight=gt500+stock+dyno, and some highlights from said thread:
    Notice a trend? (y)

Also, if I can bother to find it, there's an episode of TopGear where they strap a new GT500 to a portable chassis dyno and get, IIRC, 448rwhp.

Well, the article I have says 500 RWHP. So who should I believe?...

My point still stands. Doesn't have (or need) 3-inch (or larger pipe). That engine is a monster...

Additional dyno testing, with coupled with a proper tune, cold-air intake and undersized blowe pulley, IN ADDITION to the full 3" offroad exhaust.. shows gains of upwards of 150hp at the wheels.

These things are monsters, and yes, it's worth it to upgrade the exhaust. Not so much on a V6 or even a regular GT, but the supercharged 5.4l DOHC in the Shelby can use all the help it can get. They're awesome.

I don't know. Got a problem with it?

My thread, I could always delete it if it is bothering people.

I didn't vote it up, but I am glad it got voted up. I'm replacing the exhaust in ours now and found some great info here.

I use 40 series they sound great and are not to loud at an idle but really talk to you when you stand on it.

    I miss TL also.

I ended up with the Super44s. A bit louder and tinier than the 40s, and very obnoxious and loud!

I went with the 40s. Too quiet for my liking. Going with Dynomax bullets this time.
