I have a 73 maverickthat has factory v8 power steering, air conditioning. im replacing the engine with a 87 roller engine and Im gonna use the serpentine belt setup. My question is can I use the newer ac compressor on the older condensor and evaporator. also will the power steering work fine

    Thankyou in advance

I have a later model power steering pump on mine, should work fine. As for the AC compressor, yes, you'll just have to get new hoses made. I would recommend switching to an aftermarket cross-flow condenser while you're at it, but it will work either way.

Yes to both. I have the same setuup. I agree with the previous post about the parallel flow condenser. Just make sure the compressor you install is good(came off of a car you know it worked on) or new/reman with a guarantee of some sort. compressor failures make a big mess. The newer pump, CII I imagine, just requires having a pressure line made to connect to the control valve. I used a coupler fitting to connect an upper late model with my lower maverick line
