Stock 302 made in late 72. I already have an original 5.0 Mustang 590cfm(I think) so now I need the intake...any suggestions that aren't $200? I wouldn't mind a plain Mustang intake but they are all gone. All of them. EVERY ONE OF THEM ON THE ENTIRE PLANET IS GONE. Found a cute Fenton triple deuce on Craigslist.
try posting in the wanted section on here. you should be able to find a good used one for under 100 bucks.
4 bbl intake ? Ebaymotors. I'd find a better carb though if you're talking about the 80's 302 4 bbl carb. It's a hybrid Holley/Motorcraft 4180. Not as adjustable as a Holley 4150 or 4160
Those Ford/Holley's are good carbs for a stock motor. I think they're 600 cfm, they used the same one on everything from 302's to 460's. Like was said, not much more than idle speed and float level adjustments on them, but will work fine on a stock motor. Hope it's a good one, because Holley doesn't make kits for them, and the kit {jiffy I think} at the parts house is $150! I was going to kit one of mine, but at that price, I can put another $100 or so with it and get one of the new Summit carbs....
I think those carbs are a 535 cfm. I ran one for awhile on a mostly stock 5.0, it done great. The kit for it (many moons ago) was $52 vs $20 for a basic Holley kit. That F4B is a good intake if you could afford it. I had a couple of those stock type '80s 4 bbl intakes, just sold the last one for $60. Just keep your eyes peeled, I bought both of those off CL in the last year- they were both well under $100.
There's lots of stuff on Ebay. Here's a couple of Edelbrock performers you could take a STAB at: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FORD...r_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item27b83de34a http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/EDEL...r_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item45f83cfdff
