Ok thought I had this figured out but I was wrong..........

My setup consists of a serpentine setup with only alternator, reversed tensioner (pushes up on the belt to tighten), water pump and crank pulley. Also using a 90 degree t-stat housing (that points towards hood).

So I am forced to use a fox body style upper radiator hose with it along comes 2 problems.

    1. the length of hose towards the passenger side is to long and forces the hose at a really sharp angle back to the radiator.

    2. The size of the hose on the radiator side is to small and will not stretch over the radiator fitting.

Anyone know of the least expensive solution to this problem?
Possible something stock replacement at the parts house I over looked that works with this setup?

Remember it needs to go over to the alternator and above the alternator to work.

I have a nice set of hoses picked out for future but cost is a problem as well as switching to an electric pump shortly and would like to wait for that install to make sure its still what I am going to need.

Thanks would be a HUGE help not to spend a couple hours at the parts store looking through hoses.

Yeah I thought about the same thing using a small piece of exhaust tubing maybe 2 inches long as a coupler to shorten the part going to the passenger fender with the hoses butted up clean to not see the pipe and 2 hose clamps.

then use an reducer type piece for the radiator side again with a short pice of correct size rubber tubing almost hiding it. T
Than use some of that factory black hose covering to kinda hide the clamps a bit............

BUT then your talking 6 hose clamps on a upper radiator hose!!!!!!!!

Seems like a problem just waiting to happen to me:(

And my other concern of using a stock type hose is breaking a belt and taking a radiator hose out with it. It WOULD be just my luck:(, carrying a spare belt no problem a hose in trunk too a little much LOL

But then again if not for bad luck I would not have any luck at all

im not in the know with the serp syst. but could you have a hose to go around the set up? this way if you throw a belt no damage? just asking!
i have seen this on other cars, not the most attractive. but works.

Thats kinda the way a fox body is set up. Up towards hood from t-stat housing 90 degrees over to behind the alternator, another 90 degrees over the top of the alternator to the radiator. Only place its kinda close to the belt is where it goes around the alternator pulley but your over the top of the alternator so plenty of clearance if you can picture what I am saying.

I got the same water neck on my. I'll check at home and see if I can find the part number of the hose I found that fits perfect. I went through the racks at the parts store until i found this one. It was longer on one end but cut down it is just right.

Ryan you would be my new hero if you could find a part number on what you used!
