Might as well go with a big graphic on the hood the way it's going!

im liking it a little bit more than not liking it. with it being black its suttle enough that it doenst stand out too much. people who see it live, including mo, like it. im going to make a leather shifter boot that covers the bottom where it bolts to the shifter. i think im going to keep it for a while. see if it gets any attention at the knotts show next month.

If it puts the handle at a more comfortable position then its worth keeping. Im worried about the shifter being too far away when I finally do my swap. I'm tall and sit with the seat all the way back. Looks like your shifter has a better reach than most others I see.

And now That;s its in the car and painted it actually looks pretty good. Just get that taller boot.

The shifter looks OK to me. I suppose the pix were w/ cell cam, resolution kind of fuzzy. From what I can see I wud keep it - it's easy enough to replace when/if you get tired of it. One thing for sure - most likely won't see another one any time soon.
BTW - what size is that steering wheel?
If I were to go to manual, I wud need to change to smaller wheel.

Also, like the way u did those floor pedals, they look factory - I like man.:thumbs2:

the steering wheel is 14". i have a power steering box with a manual steering center link. i really like the feel. my front tires are skinny so it doesnt take alot of effort to steer the car.

this shift lever is very close to where the stock shift lever goes. its just a little further back. im tall also and i mounted my seats further back than the stock ones can go. the pro5.0 shift lever is very short and i couldnt shift it in to 1st 3rd or 5th when i had my 5 point harness on.

i think ill go make mo a chain shifter so he will stop drooling over mine.

You can buy old style Hurst sticks, they bolt right to a T5. I measured to figure out what size/shape I needed (I'm 6'6" and have the seat moved back also). Found just what I needed on Hurst's web site, punched the number into Summit's online catalog and they stocked them. Later I bought a Steeda TriAx shifter and the Hurst stick bolted right up to that, too. I have a chrome flat stick that says "Hurst" and a Hurst T knob.

i need to know what shape you would need. i work on alot jeeps and i thing that this shifter layout would put the shift knob at the seat back or under the dash. ill look at one of the jeeps when it comes in the shop and see what will work.
