dash

    how hard is or will the dash even come out cause i have some rust in the cowl i need to fix or will i have to go another route?

    You can unbolt and remove all of the dash without any trouble - the cowl is welded in.

    71 comet GT. 414 cu, c-4, 9+, spool 3.25, 35 spline axles, back halved,12 point,,4 whl wilwood discs, 3 link,tubbed. 73 comet sdn 302, 76 comet 2dr 6 cyl, 84 z-28 468. 98 f-150 4x4 5.4, 98 fld 120, 500 detroit. 09 jeep grand cherokee.
    not so hard as it is time consuming .. but it all unplugs and unbolts ..if you have rust in the cowl , it could be the window seal was leaking at the cowl..in wich case you may be able to pull the window and have a look under the window rubber valley it may just be leaking and require an easy fix, (..say sealing up the valley under where the window sits by minor welding or brazing..) if your not so lucky , everything under the dash with exeption of a few gussets .. strips down to the firewall tin.. allowing you to tack in some new tin , post rust removal . sounds like a lot of work..but once you get going on it its not so bad. good luck.

    Make sure you pull the windshield first...

    i dumped water in the cowl on the drivers side and it run in the floor board threw the heater duct or vent tube i also done the same on the other side and none came in the car but my floor pan on the passengers side is bad too.when water goes in the cowl where is it supposed to come out?

    A drain hole on the sides of the cowl...Behind the front fender doglegs...

    does it come out right at the back of the fender if so the passengers side is good
