I have a few "younger" friends that will help me with that! I will keep the car until I can't drive,as it has never let me down! There shouldn't be much to do to keep it running well, and if a big item needs to be fixed,I'm sure it will still be less than a car payment every month!:)

I just got back into the Maverick/Comet thing just recently. My dad and I are having a blast, as well as my kids. I know this sounds crazy, but, for me there is nothing like taking something and putting it back in working order (even if it is a 39-year-old piece of junk!)

If I couldn't work on my car anymore, I would be devestated.

I would probably take pictures of it and sell it to a person who appreciated it like I did.

Then I'd tell my grandkids about the good ol' days.

I think when you sell your bike and get a cheap little daily driver you will feel alot better about working on the maverick. It will be good to take things at your own pace and not have to worry about driving it the next day. Just do what you can, when you can. And if it makes you feel better you are still probably working faster than Tony is on his car.

Sorry to hear you are going through so much pain and difficulty.

I know how you feel I have been going through pain and difficulty since 1996, when I fell and hurt my back.

I am also facing the same situation that you described in your original post now.

That is all I fell comfortable saying in an open forum like this but if you want/need to talk to someone that has been dealing with this kind of mess for a lot of years now send me a PM I am happy to talk to you if you need/want someone to talk to.
