I'm about to swap to a 302 instead of my 200, and I've been told that my six cyl. radiator won't work. Is there another car that will donate a radiator that will fit? What about if I used a cooling electric fan on my six cyl. radiator? Will that work? PLEASE HELP!!! Preston
you could always go to a junkyard and get a radiator from a v-8 maverick, but then you'd still have a 30 year old radiator & would be taking a chance. at the least you'd have to get it boiled out and rodded. best bet is to go to a parts store and order a new one. i'd ask for a 1972 maverick, v-8 radiator. last radiator i bought cost me about $165 but you wouldn't have to worry about it.
If you have the 250 the radiator is the same for the 71-73 mav as the 302. The 170 and 200 6 cyl have a different radiator.
I've got a 200 right now, so I'm looking for a 250 Mav. BTW- Does it have to be a 250 Mav? Just wondering, because Mavs are very, vvveeerrrrryyyy rare around here! Thanks, Preston
