    Have a '72 Maverick 4 door. Looking for a fuel tank. Aftermarket tanks are 19 gallon for later years. Anyone know where I can get replacement stock 15 gallon tank?

    Use the later tank. Be sure to buy the newer vapor valve to fit the tank. You will need new 1/2" longer strap bolts. While your at it get a unleaded filler tube with the trapdoor to speed up pumping gas at the gas station and this will also stop most of the splash-back...welcome to the board.

    What is an unleaded filler tube and where do you get one. I know what a filler tube is, but an unleaded tube? I hate the splash back.

    The unleaded filler tube has a small trap door inside the tube. This trap door made it impossible to insert a leaded gas nozzle in the tank. Leaded nozzles were bigger in diameter than the unleaded nozzle
