    I'm just a college student who got a 1971 Ford Maverick from his father as my first vehicle. This seemed like the right place to post my questions and mechanical problems should they come up. So, I hope to some of you guys know a lot more about my car then I do. Happy to find this place.... I'm still trying to get over the fact everyone mistakes my car for a Mustang and that the police system used in my one and only pull over didn't even have 'Maverick' in it to put down on the citation.

    Just Remember that studying under the hood of an old car is better than the inside of a new car. Ride in their new cars. And use your car for school. Been there done that.
