So my comet has been running and driving great recently, but there is one problem. The car has been difficult to start after it has been warmed up. On the first drive of the day it starts right up and the choke works perfectly, but after it has been driven and shut off for about 15 mins it is hard to start. It will just sit there and crank for a long time before it starts, it cranks so long it seems as if it isnt going to start at all. Fuel pump is pretty new. Any ideas?

When the car finally starts, does it sputter and stumble alot then run fine?, or does it just start suddenly?

the next time you shut it off, you might try removing the air cleaner, and look down the carb and see if gas is running down the bore, causing the engine to flood.

When it does start it kinda stumbles but catches up pretty quick. And this is without me touching the gas. If i pump the gas before hand it seems to make it worse which leads me to think its flooding. I already have a carb rebuild kit so i might just rebuild the carb
