    so as i prepared to bolt on my 8'' wide drag lites with 275 60s i realized that the wheels have 5 1/2 bs not 4 1/2 when the tires hit the springs as the wheel almost touched the studs. now what do i do? outta money and a way to go

    Pep boys and summit sell spacers. 1/4, 5/16, 7/16. Longer studs and ask around cuz my friend is running 1 inch spacers I think.

    spacers

    Be very careful with spacers, sometimes wheels will come lose and
    break studs. Most time on starting line.

    1973 w/ LDO and those bucket seats that bring back fond memories when I was about 19 years old back in '74
    You said it hit the springs about the same time the back of the wheel hit the studs? I'm thinking you're going to need both a spacer and longer studs. I can't recall if Maverick hubs had replaceable studs or not or what would be involved in changing them out.

    spacers that big bolt on to your existing studs and have seperate studs for the wheel

    I won't run the ones that bolt to the hub and then have studs that you bolt the wheel to for just that reason.

    I've also seen the cheap ones cause a wheel to wobble because they weren't flat.

    mine were about $150 for all 4 and have had them on my car over 2 yrs now with no issues :yup:
