yea.. i think part of the confusion lies with the fact that the bottom half was assembled by one guy and the top half and accessories were picked by a different guy postmortem the first guy. just for sits n giggles, the casting number on the block is D4DE-6015-BA. So it's a 74 and from a Falcon
I don't think it's Falcon D = Model line (Falcon 1960-69, Maverick 1970-74, Granada 1975-82, LTD 1983-up)
could be wrong. I'll check more sites. This is where i got that info from http://www.stangnet.com/mustang-forums/654966-identifying-302-my-car.html
He was telling you it wasn't from a Falcon because there were no Falcons built after 69 or 70 (in the United States) depending on how you look at it. So the Block being a 74 we know there were no 74 Falcons made in the USA.
i was looking at the typhoon intake on fleabay, they have the water cross over in the rear of the intake that the edelbrock doesnt, any one have input on the benifits of this like maybe running cooler at the rear of the head? or would it not matter. jeff
I have a weiand dual plane on top of the project i'm building now and looking at going bigger....Might trade depending on what you have
Just to update on this.. Went with the Edelbrock Perfomer to start out with. Claims to get power from idle, where the RPM started at 1500rpm. Figured I'd start with this since I've never run the engine before. When I'm sure everything's kosher I might switch up. Haven't sold or traded either of my other intakes yet. Gonna wait to get this engine in and going. Then I have a bunch of stuff to get rid of. Thanks for the help guys!
