windows off track

Both of my windows have recently fell off the regulator due to the plastic fasteners dry rotting and they broke. I have searched auto krafters but they dont have any. Any advice on where to get them or any tricks on how to rig them up? Thanx in advance!!

i used a few short bolts and some plastic and rubber washers

works great

 

Not possibly as good as the correct part though. Only takes about 10 seconds to pop them in plus you don't have to worry about breaking the glass by possibly over tightening.

According the the Master Parts Catalog the 71-73 Mustang roller fit a Maverick.

I don't think by his description that the roller is what he needs. I think he's talking about the retainer that holds the glass to the regulator. It's a two-piece plastic clip with a removable center pin that just pushes in to spread the outer retainer. I've seen pics of them posted on here before. Some Mustangs may have them too...not sure.

If I was going to use bolts, I think I'd use plastic toilet seat bolts, unless they are too big....

I call them door glass pins or retainers.

 

Someone might check the Lincoln LS glass pins. they look the same. If they are reasonable, I'll order a couple to compare.

I used Ford Ranger window retainers its a bolt with a plastic bushing.
