Where do I take them to get pressed on ? I'm thinking a machine shop would be the place to go... Is this right ?

I have my rear disc brake converstion from Right stuff detailing here and ready to install...

I see some old signs of a seal leak and figured if I'm taking the axles out I might as well change the bearings and seals...

A lot of parts stores offer that service if you buy the stuff from them. Any place with a press can do them if the have the right arbors and clamps to get them on and off. I did mine myself at work recently and it wasn't hard at all. Of course I use to do them all the time thirty plus years ago when I worked at a parts store before I started in a dealership in the parts dept. If I remember correctly back in the day we would chop off the retaining ring with a hammer and chisel or use a torch. I don't remember putting them back on though, that was quite a few years ago. I do however remember missing the bearing with the hammer quite a few times and wailing my hand ... LOL
