Ok. I really love these cars and have one each a Mavrick and a Comet but really we all know they were built as inexpensive transportation so let's here it. What's the worst ( cheap ) part that they used when building them NEW. my vote goes for the plastic plate that covers the heater control switches on the dash. If you look at that thing wrong the thing will break and not stay attached to the dash.......

One more then I will stop. The freaking hood hinges. How many chips have worn hinges put on the edges of the fenders. My Maverick has 33,000 original miles and I'm oh so careful when I open or close the hood......

i agree with this. mine is busted apart. i'd also say the steering wheel(at least on mine anyway, it deteriorated from sitting in the sun all those years) same on my parts maverick

same, mine is basically chipped off so much that there's little slivers of steering wheel everywhere that ram into your hands if you touch it. i just wrapped it in electric tape til i can get a new wheel, lol.

Most of the stuff you guys are complaining about, all has to do with age.

well now that you put that stipulation on it lol i guess id say the lack of choices it seems to give us for tire size or least width wise...looking at my car an doin some math it doesnt seem like i can get that much wider then stock on my car
