hi i've been throught hell with trans, when i bought the car i was told it was a C6, cleaned it off and put it on a mount to paint and put a shifter improver kit on it and see it looks more like an AOD, well i got the shifter kit and it wont work so if anyone knows what tranny with the ID code D2AP-7006-AB that would be great because i'm about to just put the dam thing in without knowing how good it shifts or maybe put the C4 i have just sitting here and smash this pos for all the trouble its caused me lol.

C-4 & C-5 both are all aluminum with removeable bellhousings, C-6 is also all aluminum but has an integrally cast bell. FMX has an iron main case with a removeable aluminum bell and aluminum tailhousing. The C-6 is the strongest with the FMX a close second and the C-4 in stock form least strongest. The C-5 is a C-4 with a lockup converter feature.
