I am typing this 3rd party as I have someone installing my Weber Carb (still injured).

Got the Carb installed, but the throttle cable and detent rod will not reach the new position of the carb. I know I am not the first to install a 32/36 on a 250ci, but this is the first thing I heard about needing to adjust these with an install.

    Help.

I tried to find out if this was within my means before I ordered it. (I can "Replace" most stuff - never really ventured into upgrading until now) I read quite a few articles about the install. No mention of having to fabricate new kickdown rods. (Throttle cable I can handle).

Do you have a picture of an extention bracket. Also I read in one post someone was looking to replace the rod with a cable. There was no answer to his question. Anyone know if there is a good donor car-type that this would work with?

I think he meant the some would just not run the Kickdown Rod instead of figuring out how to hook it up. I ran without one for quite some time on a c4 and never really noticed it not shift correctly.

Yeah I re-read it and edited my response. Just was a little frustrated and read it wrong the first time. Between the torn rotator cuff and not being able to help my son finish his car --[IMG]--People who text and drive are evil (cause of my injuries).:naughty:

Thank you everyone for your help. Matt leaves to work at Boy Scout camp for 6 weeks in less than a month. I really want him to have his Maverick with him.

I'd take you a picture but When I sold the carb I sold it with the bracket intact.

I'll dig through my old pictures to see if i can find it, I got the bracket off a ford truck then cut some pieces off, and drilled a hole to mount it to the existing lever....that's all i can remember
