This is her car, we picked it up for $700. I6 250ci from a 72 Torino, C4 trans, ps, manual brakes, 4/50ac. she is a little rough but not for the area. the po was happy with the "resto/mod" plan, and wants to see it as we progress. Funny how many of a "rare" car you notice once you have one, she and a buddy of ours have seen a black one, i have seen a limeish green one and if you can see the brown tarp peeking up from behind her's and the neighbors truck.... underneath is a blue grabber that is being stored there. Wow! ill post some updated as i get time but that is a limited commodity for me! we plan to take her to her first show on Saturday.
Have you looked under the wheel covers yet? Mine had those same wheel covers and under them were the magnum 500's Looks like a good start.
Thanks, she has a few hidden issues and what not, and a few po issues to fix but over all very excellent for the price given the area. we are hopeing to get a glass grabber hood ( any we should avoid?), some new shoes and whatnot, then time and $ allowing, let the fun begin!!!
Pretty much all glass hoods I would avoid. They usually take quite a bit of work to be ready for paint. Assuming they even fit the car to start with. You can get a nice hood on here in carbon fibre if its in the budget.
understood, just dont like carbon fiber on an old car, it just dont seem right, and not in the budget..... i just cant imagine a steel one being cheep either, esp shipping, since most 'round theese parts are proly worse than what she has now, i guess its the price you pay when ya wanna be a lill different. and a buddy of ours calls it the starsky jr. lol
