Drain trans. oil

    Whats the best way to drain all trans. oil without taking to shop to be vacume the oil out. Help

    Automatic Trans (assuming because of the dipstick reference)? Pull the pan off the bottom and have a big catch bucket under it.

    Yes, thats what i'm going to do but alot of the oil would probably stay in the turbine. That the oil I want to remove. Thanks

    No clean and simple way to do it. Gonna make a mess no matter how you try.

    If the converter has a drain you can drain it into a pan.
    Drain the rest by removing all the bolts that hold the pan on except for the two in front. Loosen the two front bolts and let the rear of the pan down. Keep loosening the front bolts as you catch the oil in a BIG pan. Remember that there is up to twice as much oil in the C4 as there is in your engine.
    Have some floor sweep (kat litter or Rice hull ash) handy so you you can clean up what misses the pan.
