what other car has the same exhaust

    im looking to buy a dual exhaust header back & was woundering if cougar or mustang is the same & what years would fit thanks bob :huh:

    Just get a quote from a muffler shop, its not expensive for a custom system.
    At least out here in Cali. It's $200 if you provide the mufflers or $350 with high end ones.

    If you have a welder you can do the whole thing for under $150, including mufflers. Even less if you just end them under the seat, That cost me $60. :)

    never thought id see the day when stuff is cheaper in so cal compared to here...any muffler shop here cost more then that even if you provide muffler

    Well it also depends on if you choose mandrel or crushed style. The mandrel is a lot pricier.

    Also Southern California has the biggest car scene in the US. So its probably cheaper because of all the demand. Heck theres two shops less than a mile from my house!

    Including the old Hot Rod staple De Anza Muffler Services, they've done systems for award wining street rods. PHR, Car Craft, Hot Rod,etc..... and the best part is that they still charge Mom and Pop Shop prices.

    haha that could explain alot, kinda makes me wanna drive down there get exhaust on my car lol get that done while visiting family

    For those living in central Ca. bobs muffler in bakersfield does mandrel bending on site.

    Its not that hard, heres my old setup:

    $60 Dual Exhaust

    Tailpipes could be added for $40-60 more (y)

    1972 Maverick 2 door.Original V-8 3 spd std shift.Also a 72 one owner Sprint sporting a 351 Windsor
    67/68 mustang exhaust parts work with some minor modding and center inlet/offset outlet mufflers...

    Do those years have staggered shocks?? That seems like it would be a big issue if they don't, especially with a 74 tank that will push the pipes more outboard than how they would be in a stang.

    thanks for the info!! might get a small road trip down that way with some friends to get work done on my car. kill 2 birds one stone lol
