A non-computer controlled distributor that's compatible with a roller cam, intake manifold and a carb.

Plus the correct timing cover, with the dipstick hole, and the fuel pump boss.

You can also but an aftermarket (MSD Accell etc..) distributor or a bronze gear to put on any other 302 distributor.

Wow. You guys make this sound difficult.

I took my efi block, put my heads, intake and carb on it. Done.

The block doesn't know it is efi. Only the intake.

Swap all the crap over from your old engine, just make sure you have the correct rotation on your water pump, and make sure your distributor gear is correct for the cam.

    I used an 85 block.

My heads, my intake, my carb. My cam, my rockers. My...everything.

I changed the water pump because it was reverse rotation.

I changed the distributor gear on my stock distributor so the steel cam wouldnt eat it up.

I did the same thing w/ my '82 Capri RS.

I bought a '91 long block and dropped my factory 2v intake on and added a Holley electric fuel pump.

I kept the same distributor- just swapped the gear. Runs better than the original 5.0 ever did.

What scooper said. But, if you want to keep it carbified (new word. just now made it up. :D), you're gonna have to locate and acquire all that stuff. Take off the computer and F.I. and all you have left is a roller block in need of aforementioned (my big word of the day) parts.

    Happy wrenching!
