If anyone need any weather stripping for their 2 door Mavericks/Comets, I highly recommend Daniel Carpenter Mustang Reproductions. Many of you have probably heard that name here a few times, and the weather stripping is great stuff. I got mine today, and the quality is very good. It was better quality than the original stuff that came on my car. Well, anything would be better than the original with chunks missing, yellow paint overspray, and water spraying through onto the seats and carpet. They are nice people to deal with too. Corbin; I agree. I purchased the window channel weatherstrip from AK, which they make. Great stuff. It quieted the car a lot, and the windows seal like they are supposed to. Kudos to them, and for Craig and the others that got the stuff reproduced for us. Earl
Do they also make the seal that goes at the back of the hood on the cowl? If not ..who does? It seems like someone once said to get some for a mustang and trim it.
Yes, they do make the cowl to hood seal, but it is for the 73-77 Models. I think someone said that you can trim that one to fit the 69-72. They don't have a website, but their email address is dcmustang@vnet.net . I asked them if they would send me a catalog because I heard that they carried Maverick weatherstripping, and they sent one right away. Or just email them with your weatherstripping needs, and they will help you. -Corbin *Thanks to everyone how took part in getting these produced!* Also, does anyone know, by chance, if they are thinking about reproducing the quarter window weatherstripping? Mine are okay, and will work for a while, but eventually I will need a different set. Thanks.
