I'm unable to bolt up 71golds aod crossmember to my 4r70w. The auto almost sits too far back. So looking at the lower engine mounts I notice that the engine is offset to the back? is this correct? (flipping the mounts around will move the engine forward to the front of the car) I pulled off the passenger frame motor mounts and noticed the R stamped on it. Does this mean its on the correct side? Does the small tongue stick up on the mount surface suppose to be on the bottom or top? Thanks
nm I got my answer, aode is 1" longer in the midsection. motor mounts are in correct or at least appear to be.
Time for a custom mount Mock it up and make sure all the lines fit before you do that. Oh, is it fitting in the tunnel? My T-5 needs to have the tunnel raised a little to make it right. Hope you don't have the same problem. I shoulda checked when I was under your car the other day.
It wouldn't be too hard to extend the mount on Franks transmission mount, or even cut it off, and add a new plate to the back.
The crossbar is hitting the lower backside of the aode. The bar needs to be moved back 1.3"s for it to fit.
