I posted this car awhile back. It was for sale down the street from my house. Sign on the window said $6700 OBO. It was a Grabber, floor shift, bucket seat, automatic, C4 with a shift kit, Factory A/C car but compressor was in the trunk, (all other AC parts were there including the mounting bracket mounted to the engine) 302 with some hop up parts (cam, 4bbl, etc.) freshly done, looked to be pretty much a ground up resto. Really nice car. Stopped and talked to the owner and he said he would take $6,500 OBO at that time. I noticed that he sold it. This has been probably just about a year ago. I seen the car driving around with some teen/early 20's boys packed in it a couple times. Here's the funny part. My wife see's the car on the side of the road and calls to tell me. She starts describing the car and I realize what car she is talking about. The for sale sign on the car even still said that the A/C compressor is still in the trunk, and says that the transmission is slipping between 2nd and 3rd LOL. She called the number on the for sale sign to see how much $$$ they wanted for it....... drum roll please . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $9,800.00 of course obo LOL I'd like to be able to do that too. Buy a car for around $6,000.00. Drive the hell out of it for about a year, until something on it breaks and then sell it for around $3,800.00 more than I paid for it. That would be a helluva fun way to make some extra cash.
LOL yeah back when I was in school (back in the 80's) if you liked MOPAR everyone thought you were off your rocker, now adays those old MOPARS are going for the BIGGGGG BUCKS!!!! Wish I had know the old lady across the street from my Mom and Dad was planning on trading in her Plymouth Satelite and buying 2 Chevettes. It was actually one of those "Little old lady drove it to the grocery and back and to church on Sunday" type cars. She paid me to wash and wax it one time and I popped the hood expecting that it would have a slany six or maybe the 318 and low and behold I found a 383 under the hood. Plain jane off white with black vinyl top black interior and single quiet stock exhaust. Came home from school or work one day and the Satelite was gone and there were 2 chevy shiitvettes in the driveway. When I asked about the satelite she told me that she used it as a trade-in on the two chevettes. OMG!!!!!!
LMAO! On the subject of Mopars... There's an old Asian lady around here driving around in a tired looking, but straight 71ish Cuda .. I often dream about pulling up next to her and buying the car outright.
