I know this may not be the place for it but anyways.... Well I have been wanting to bring home my '72 Maverick from my cousins grandpa's Shop/garage home. I want to because when I am there(which has been very rare lately) I really have no clue what to do to it? The fact that this is my first car and I am just learning how to fix it maybe doesn't help much. So I only get work done when the grandpa is able to help me and at least give me a start of what i should do. But whenever he does have time it usually goes to my cousin's '64 Chevy C10. So i figure since there is so little time spent fixing the mav. there i think maybe i should take it home. My dad seems to love the idea of fixing a car with me. But then i think the garage its at has many tools. It has a rack to get under the car. It being there can possibly make working on it very easily. I trust my dad's experience with cars and my godfather. But the grandfather is very experienced as well. I believe hes been on the SPEED channel and raced in the desert. So should i wait it out and stick with the car at the garage? Or should i bring it home and maybe bond with my dad?. Sorry if i sound stupid. This is really bugging me and i can't think it clearly

I say if your Dad wants to do this with you then bring it home. Sounds like Grandpa may be be a bit busy.

Bring it home, A good set of hand tools is all you need to get started.. Rent the specialty tools you may need from a parts house... A jack and good jack stands will be needed as well... Bonding with your Dad is priceless....
