Went to the car show yesterday and ran into an old friend i went to school with when i went to Aloha High and ended up going back to his house afterwords. Parked my car on a fairly steep hill and shut it off and got out for a few mins to talk and catch up, i haven't seen him in almost 3 years.
As we were standing there antifreeze just started dumping out of my car in a short burst and then it stopped, i crawled under really quick cause it scared me and saw the hose just hanging down. As i looked at where the hose ran to/from, it looks like it was just an overflow hose and it blew out some fluid because my car was hot and parked nose down on a steep hill so the fluid all moved to the top. Is there an overflow hose on the radiator, or do i need to do some looking?

There typically is an overflow hose that attaches under the radiator cap, runs along the top if the radiator and down the side. Its normal to push some coolant out when the engine stops if you've filled the radiator to the top.

If its a concern, you can install an overflow tank that will capture the overflow and feed it back as the engine cools.

Like Jsarnold said, I wouldn't worry about it. Overflow isn't a bad idea for a radiator if it's not often checked.

Okay, It didn't worry me a lot, I was just makign sure the hose wasn't intended on leading somewhere. The way it ran it seemed like it'd just be an overflow but i decided to ask to be certain. Always the safest bet! Thanks!

Good write up thanks. Just noticed mine is hissing at the top in a couple of spots so I need to take it in and get it pressure tested and repaired so I'll definitelly want to add one afterwards so hopefully it holds up.
