I'd like to repost something for my little guy, my baby that I sent out mid to late April. My riding companion Chewy or Chui as I called him died suddenly less than a month after my mother who died 02/14/09 it was also a month after his 11th Birthday, I was so devastated. He knew the difference between my Kia Spectra’s keys rattling & my Grabber Clone. After work or on weekends I’d take the Maverick keys out of my ball cap on the fridge, he’d hop off the couch ready to go. Sadly I never got to take the picture of him riding with me, he’d lie on his back ears flopped over the front bottom of the driver’s seat back legs scrunched against the back rest he looked like a little rabbit. It now feels so empty driving it that I’ve thought of selling our Maverick I felt it was his too. He was 7.5 lbs of pure love and joy he was more worthy of eternal life than anyone I know myself include I miss him real bad. I have now bought a new teacup paid the lady $75.00 extra to bring him to me; he’s now turned 10 weeks old and is demonstrating a lot of Chew's/a Poodles qualities. He’s now getting over his fear of riding in a car hopefully in another month or two he'll be a little Maverick co-pilot.
Nice to see all of your dogs here. Just yesterday we were out getting sideways in the Maverick. But my poor Bruno is in the hospital tonight and I feel empty without him. He ate a wire tie or something, punctured his esophagus or windpipe, and somehow air is getting into his skin. When my son told me his ribs felt crunchy like crumpled paper, I had no idea what he ment. Bruno became increasingly lethargic and depressed. My wife took him to a vet before I got home. It was bubbles under his skin; his neck, belly, down his legs. Its awful. The estimate from the hospital was $2500-$3500. Wont know more till tomorrow. Hope he will be OK
:sorry: For FishOutOfWater I know exactly how you feel. My little dog loved riding in our Maverick; it was kind of like Bart Simpson and Millhouse, Hey Chewy want to go for a ride? Do I!!! The passenger seat now feels so empty now; I miss him and keep getting crazy thoughts of selling the Maverick.

Seems this thread was started some time ago but I'm glad it was revived. As a veterinarian, this is one of my favorite threads! Had some pics of one of my Dane puppies in front of a Mav...will have to search for it and post again.
Here is a new shot of my buddy (chillin' in a shady spot he found) Oh... Here's my other boxer, Abby. Bruno is lying down in the back.
Boxers are great dogs! I have a boxer lab mix and a pomeranian (ex's dog), but I wouldn't let them in my car lol they get the other one messy enough.
