ok people.....lets see if anyone has done this

my fuse box is out dated....just like the rest of yours....so here is my question

has anyone purchased just a fuse box and wired it in so that they had more fuses to pull from and more power to run radio, gauges...etc...

    please let me know...

my fuse box is even rusted a bit....

I replaced the stock fuse block with one that takes all 3AG-size fuses and mounted it on the tray right underneath the parking brake. I just soldered wires from the original fuse holders to the new fuse block. Much easier to get at. I also ran a 10 AWG wire from the battery to a relay that energizes when the ignition switch is on to supply a second fuse block for accessories.

You can get them at Napa or any auto parts store.

I ganged 3 fuse blocks that hold 4 fuse each together (they have slots to allow them to attach to each other) and use an accessory relay for the ac and other accessories and an ignition power relay for EEC, ignition system, gauges, etc. The relays just use the ignition switch as a low current switch.
