I just wanted to say "Thanks Again" to Joe, Lee, Dale, Shawn & Lisa, and anyone else that I have missed..for putting on an amazing Round Up!
I put over 300 miles on my trailer queen, it was flawless and awesome!
My oldest daughter drove with me there and back, while my wife and youngest daughter were in my wife's escape. (good thing they did, all the shoes they bought would never fit in the trunk of the Maverick)
We drove to the Round Up with, Pete (mavman72) and his Dad, that was a blast.
Nick and I even drove our cars in the rain on Friday! I'm amazed my car didn't get dirty at all, must be all the wax..
I got to meet quite a few people for the first time and see some old friends again, also got to see some awesome cars for the first time.
Once again, it went by, way too fast. The countdown has begun for next year already, I can't wait! We had a blast!!

I made it back safe and w/o any mechanical issues on the road home. However, my new ac compressor has been makin a noise sometimes on starup. I just made it to the garage to move my van frm the spot I park the Comet and I believe it blew a fuse. I think it drawing to much current.
Glad it worked until I made it home.
Going to call Classic tommorrow and get a new one.

Anyway, wud like to thank all those involved in hosting the RU. I think u did a great job. I know putting together an event requires a lot of work an dedication.

I got a chance to meet some of the folks I see and communicate here on a regular basis. I feel the cars are just half the reason for going - camarderie the other half.
Glad I went - despite the rather oppressive heat - I enjoyed the whole thing. Hope circumstances allow me to make next years.

    Oooo, good one.

I thought those states were all provinces??? :hmmm::hmmm:

Cant wait to go next year when I can actually cross the border.
Pete stopped in with his Dad on the way home though. Great people. That was really cool. Been wanting to meet him for a long time. I cant believe I didnt get a few pics. Pretty rare to have 2 Mavs on my street.

Gees my 2 year just told me she likes Petes white Mav better than mine and she wants to go for a ride in it. Damn Sprints. LOL.

Maybe next time Darren...LOL...Man I had a great time!!! My Dad is looking forward to next year as am I. Hope to have the blue beast done by then (Now I have a deadline to meet) And AC to add to the list!!! LOL. Sorry I had to run off early but my dad had an hour drive ahead of him once we got back to buffalo, so getting in at a reasonable hour was high on the list. It was great to put faces to the names and cars and hang out with such a great bunch of people. A big thank you to all who put this together and the participants who made it so memorable!!!
Dave...Aren't New york and Ontario the same province ???

We made it home safe about 1 am. Had a blast - and yes, thanks to everyone that worked so hard to make it happen. And thanks to all the people that took the time to get themselves to Dearborn, with or without their cars. It was so cool to meet all the people from the forum that I have known all these years but never met in person!

There were more cars there than I expected and I heard it said more than once that there was no place else on Earth at that moment that had more Mavericks and Comets in one place ........... (y)

A picture from the Round-Up .. can hardly get them all in the same frame ....

Got home a couple of hours ago--took a long time since I had a layover in Baltimore. TSA went through my checked bags again on the return trip! This time they broke the zipper since they didn't repack it properly. Thanks Bin Laden!

Sure was nice to see everyone! What a fantastic Roundup!!!

Thanks to all the Michigan folks who made it so successful.

I echo everyone's comments that it was a fantastic roundup and really enjoyed meeting all of the people I've communicatd with and seen on the forum. My drive home wasn't as grueling as some of you guys I only live about 10 miles from the hotel. After the roundup the wife and I went out and did the Telegraph cruise until about 11 at night dodging the rain - at times it was raining sideways.

It was a real pleasure to have my Comet makes it debut at the roundup and I couldn't think of a nicer bunch of people to share the debut with.

On Sunday I took the Comet to it's second car show at Baker's in Milford, MI. It's billed as the largest weekly car show in the Midwest. The Comet took a Best In Show trophy!

I'll post a link to my Flickr site with all of my pictures within the next day or two.

Thanks and Kudos to everyone responsible for putting on a great Roundup. Can't wait till next year!

I know that I am just repeating what has been said but special thanks to all that had a hand in putting on this roundup. It was an awesome time. I met a lot of great people and saw a lot of nice cars. Already can't wait till next year. I made some local contacts and you know I will be calling you guys for some of the bigger shows.

Did anyone get a picture of Chuck's car. The Green 2 finger shift car? That car is a testimonial to Maverick reliability.

We got back yesterday. It took 10 hours with no A/C with a car load of four and all their luggage and well worth it. We had an awesome time and look forward to next year. Thanks to everyone that made it happen. We miss you!!!!
