I have a 77 Maverick with a 302. I just installed a 6AL Ignition Control, distributor, blaster 2 coil, and MSD spark plug wire. When I turn the car over it starts, but as soon as release the key, the car stops. As long as the starter stays engaged, the car runs, but as soon as the starter disengage the car shuts off.

Any help would be nice before I call MSD.

    Thanks

You hooked your coil to the start wire instead of the run wire off the ignition switch...Or you hooked the switch wire for the MSD to the start wire instead of the run wire off the ignition switch...

Wire was in the wrong place. thanks. If you installed it did you notice a difference in the sound of your engine?
