I've got my little 76 250 I6 hopped up and putting out a surprising amount of power , but I'd sure like to swap my C4 auto for a 3 or 4 speed manual transmission. I just picked up a 77 2 dr body thats in much better shape than my 76, so if I'm gonna make the swap nows the time to do it. I've got to switch the motor over to the new body anyway. Whats the best manual tranny to go with, and how much trouble's it gonna be to swap? I think I've got a pretty good idea of the parts I need. Tranny, flywheel, shifter, pedal assembly, drive shaft. Can anyone think of anything I'm missing? Any and all advise will be much appreciated.

I just did a Toploader swap, see Toploader Transplant.

You'll need a manual steering column.
