It is up to the people participating as to your turn out, that much is clear. While you could piggy back another show it won't be your show. There are enough cars out west that you all could have a great show. It will probably start off slow but if you all stick with it you can grow. I (with help from some great people) hosted the first MCG National Gathering in Elizabethtown, Ky. I would reccommend an average size city. Pick a place that will draw in the most people and you can move after you get the show established. Call that cities Tourism Bureau, they will be a big help. Sometimes you can find small parks for almost free. The MCG tries to keep everything affordable, hotels around $70 with breakfast, the tourism B. will help you with the hotels in that town and I'm sure you will get proposals from a couple. I think what you thinking is a great idea, a small group of you need to bond and start it. If there is anything I can help you with, idea wise, PM me and I will tell you what I know, even if it is very little:D The MCG has drawn people from Ca., Tom and Tammy Hack, but I venture to say it was not just for the cars, it was the people and we are like a family. Remeber to include everyone, would be my advice. And our Pres is Ruth Graham, she and Don make it out every year from AZ and I think Don will tell you they are not rich, but again the people that gather together make it worth the trip. I guess I'm rambling but I want to stress that the people are what is going to make your show a success!

Oh yeah, I love that Galaxie also, I have a 64 500XL, I want mine to be black someday, baby blue now.

If I was rich I'd still be driving my Comet! haha. Classics are where it's at I don't care what they say! Anyways, I think a NW gathering would be killer. I haven't ever seen a comet down here at any Oregon shows. Maybe one Maverick a while ago, but ****, these are getting extremely rare. I think more of us are popping up slowly around here, I know I've had mine waiting in the garage for a couple years now, just now got it going again, so we're here...only a matter of figuring out when/where we can all make it happen.

I think this is a great idea. I'm originally from the Tri-Cities and now live outside of Coeur d'Alene. Like was mentioned before, I think we should find a location and set a date.....even if it's a small park somewhere. I'll do whatever I can to help.....family still lives in Tri-Cities so if that's where everyone wants to do it let me know. Wherever it is, I'm in.

Glad to see evrybody's interest in this meet. I wanna shoot for a NW meet next early summer. Tri Cities is the place, centrally located for most of us and local for a few. I'm leaving this up to the Tri Cities guys to find a location. I'll trailer my comet up and stay the weekend. I'm thinking late may early june so its not so hot that we all roast. I want to make this happen and make it a yearly thing. No awards the first yr just a gathering. Cruise the strip and just hang at a park, maybe swap some parts and shoot the breeze. Let me know if this is agreeable?

Anybody from the Tri-Cities interested in finding us a good location, free preferrably. First year- Meet and greet, swap some stories and parts maybe a BBQ and breakfast the following day. Most likely a weekend only, saturday day and then sunday morning. Year 2- Friday nite dinner, saturday all day show and shoot the breeze and BBQ, Sunday breakfast and such.

I'll trailer queen my comet up if she still has her 170 (barely go 50 MPH), and if I have my 302 I'll attempt to drive her up, really depends on her. I really want this to happen, as there is alot of us in the area and we need to get together for the sake of our cars. I wanna be able to park my Comet next to a Maverick and for people to walk past it and see the difference, I'm sick of everybody calling it a Maverick, sorry just went into rant mode.
