    Hey everyone,
This is my first post other then my post in the new members area. I have a 74 Maverick to fix up for my 16 yr old son. I know very little about the Maverick. So for my first post can someone educate me on what year model part will work on my 74? Were there changes from 70 to 77? This car needs the rear frame replaced, So I think I’m gona stated there. Does any one make replacement frame parts?

The mav is gone but i'm still here!
No one make a rear subframe....but they do sell kits to custom fit one in.

I'm not really certain on the sub frames, but I would guess 71-77 should be the same.

That being said these cars can be picked up pretty cheap, like under $500.
Which would probably be cheaper than fixing your current car,

I have to agree. There are lots and lots of rust free cars for sale, that one doesn't need to mess around with fixing a badly rusted car. If you have little experience working on cars, then replacing the rear frame will need to be done by somebody else, and that will be expensive.

Post up some pictures so we can see what you are working on.

P.S. I like your member name!!

My dad have been restoring car forever. He currently has a model-T, 46 Plymouth coupe, 53 and 55 Cambrige, 51 ford truck, and a 55 chieftain. The plymouth and chieftain are done. So I've got someone with the know how to fall back on. He told me if needed he would help me make the frame rails, but I was hope someone made them. I'll get some picks up later to day. Oh..I have some experience on working on thing and am a quick learner. I'm the kinda guy that just digs in and figures it out and I'm not to proud to ask for help and advise.

    Web Info

Here's a website with some good info. There are re-pop panels for the qtr drop (trunk area) and they are for sale on ebay. Most replacement panels are aquired from parts cars because not much is reproduced for these cars.

I remember that car. It was for sale on here.

As otheres have said....very, very little is made for these cars.

So did the back bumper fall off due to rust?

Hi there, I actually called Auto Weld chassis but they have no information on the Maverick's frame rails specs, so if i want them I have to send a template, from Brazil. Have you done business with them before? Anyone in the forum that may have the dimensions? It would make my life much easier. Thanks.
