I've seen at least one Mav on the board sporting a set of "poverty" or "dog dish" hub caps that were different than the flat ones that were offer with trim rings. Would anyone know what I'm talking about and be able to point me to a pic of this car? Thanks. John B
Could they have been a different make than Ford? Since Dodge and Ford share a common bolt pattern, I've seen several Fords with Dodge wheels and dog dish caps. Since the caps aren't make logo'ed, only purists or pickies would notice or care This is a Dodge/Chrysler/Plymouth "Police" rally wheel with the Mopar police or "poverty" cap The caps come without holes too
.....or later model Ford? This is a 16X7 Police wheel and cap on my '00 Crown Vic Interceptor Explorers also use these caps on different style wheels The caps don't attach to the wheels, they snap on to special lug nuts
They Look really clean; heres the same caps on my 63 I have the flat ones on my mav mine came with the full wheel covers originally. I scored these caps for 20 bucks in thousand oaks.
I think the car I'm looking for was red. Did Craig Selvey's car have poverty caps on it? In any case, thanks for all of the responses. Still not sure.
