I was thinking of buying the disc brake kit from autokrafters. Has anyone on this site ever bought, and or know someone who has installed this kit on their Maverick or Comet? I'd like some feed back before I go dishing out that kind of dough for a kit no-one has ever used.

the kit is from www.autokrafters.com (manual disc brake conversion kit). Part#DK532M. So no-one on here has ever bought one of these kits?

Yeah thats a bit of a concern too. On the up side, everything has a guarentee, and its new.Oooooo! None of this pitted up useless stuff that someone let sit out side for the last two winters with no rotors on them.LOL.

I have a really nice used FoMoCo set I could sell you. It has all been bead blasted and painted. Email me directly (see below) if I can help.

Even if you buy old stuff by the time you replace everything worn out it comes out to be the same as the brand new http://www.discbrakeswap.com/ kit.....

I don't like autokrafters back-orders though lol, I once had to wait a full year to get my part, and they didn't tell me it was on back-order till after I paid.
Usually half the stuff I get from them is a long wait, the products are great quality though.

So.... No one has used these before? I'm thinking the next thing I'm doing to my Mav is the front brake upgrade. I've been looking for the needed parts and am thinking that tho slightly higher priced this may be the route to go for a complete kit.

I am sure they are fine. But I think there are options such as what was mentioned in this thread for less money.
