I have a 77 with a 302. I installed MSD ignition couple months ago. I just had to replace the stater solenoid. The first day after I drove it I went to turn off my car and I pulled the key out and the car was still running. I turned the key like I was starting it again and then turned it back and the car shut off. Later that day I drove it home and when I went to shut it off nothing would happen. I disconnect the battery and the stater solenoid and the car stilled ran. I had to disconnect the coil to shut off the car.

Any ideals what going on and how to fix it?

Well there is a new problem.
I change a connect on the starter solenoid (been on the car for 4 days, ran the car three times before) and started the car with no problems. I go to start off the car and again it would not turn off. I turn the key back to the on position and then off and the car turns off. Next I go to start the car again and now nothing works again. I believe that its the starter solenoid again.

Any ideas why I fried the 2 solenoid in four days?
