Geez, it's not like you wouldn't notice hitting a car that hard. It happened to my son with his first car and he was devastated. Tell him to hang in there Robbie, Karma is a bitch.

Have had that happen a couple of times. Hope they catch the guy.

A co worker had his car hit in the parking lot at work a couple weeks ago.Hope they catch the guy. Person broke the mirror and scratched the car from behind the front wheel all the way down the side to behind the rear wheel. You know the person knows they did it.

Sorry to hear this Robbie. Tell your son that we are all bummed out, along with him.

I hate to see any of these dwindling Mavericks and Comets get banged up....but especially so, when the owner appreciates their Maverick.

    People are creeps nowadays.

Case in point...We were in Dallas for my wife's graduation ceremony, rented a car, parked on the street while eating dinner. We came out, there is a note handwritten and taped to the drivers door. "Sorry for messing up you car."

I walk around the car and apparently some bike rider was riding drunk and ran into and along the side of our rental car!

No "hey, have your insurance call me at 555-555-1212" or nothing. In fact, if he would have not posted the note, i would likely have not noticed. But he did post the note taking responsibility, but then high-tailed it out of dodge to skip taking responsibility.

We kept the note, just in case, but luckily, the car rental place didn't care, so we didn't share!

When/where I come from, if we screw up, we leave our name, number, etc so the "victim" can call us up and file with our insurance, if they desire to do so. Yes, it has raised our insurance rates a touch here and there, but it is the RIGHT thing to do. At least for those "mature" people like us.

Well they found the guy. has the only blue Lancer on base. "Said" he left info on windshield.? He gave my son his info again. We will see how it goes.

I creamed a guys fender in lowes parking lot. He got with me and we fixed it. He was shocked that I left info. :)

I don't ever recall seeing that Maverick in the area. I live just a few miles from Lewis/McCord... Glad he got the info from the guy... Hope it gets fixed...

I'm glad they found the guy! People nowadays just have no common courtesy.

I was at Wal-mart last week when an older lady was parking and she hit a cart and ran it into the rear passenger door on the car parked next to her. She got out of her van, moved the cart and went inside. I then grabbed a pen and a napkin, wrote down her license plate number, wrote a note stating what I saw and placed it on their windshield. I would want somebody to do the same for me.
