I cut some more of my small 69.5 transmission tunnel out tonight to get closer to installing the larger tunnel from a 72 in it's place. I still have to trim and clean the back section of the 72 tunnel and tack them together. Then blend them in and weld in the 72 tunnel upper crossmember. :)

    Its Wired

347 is all wired up except for the battery install and the new gauges. Spent a lot of time this morning fussing with the offset mounts for the offset Auto Meter gauges. Template for modifying the brackets was wrong. Good thing I had to buy extra (needed 4 offsets and they come in packs of 3). Cut one bracket wrong on my error and one wrong following the template.

Should be able to finish those things up tomorrow, put in the fluids, start it up and check for leaks. SHOULD be able to -- we'll see.

Think the last fitment issue got resolved tonight. The Air Gap manifold is about 3/4" taller than the Performer that was on the 5.0. My 14X3" air cleaner wasn't going to fit. Looked for a drop down at ORielly's a couple of days ago but they didn't have one. Pulled out an extra base I had in storage to discover it IS a drop down. :) Every once you catch a break.

BTW, I knew that big ol' AC bracket would be good for something. :D

YEAH!!!! IF that engine dyno is close to accurate, and the air cleaner and exhaust don't choke it down too much, I'll be like a kid on Christmas morning. :bananaman Should know soon.

Today MnTony and Gene Fiore came over and we did some dismantling. Took everything AOD related out of the car. Then I took out the back seat and rear surrounds. The power bucket seats are coming out next. Getting ready for some changes.

Flushed my engine out AGAIN.. I keep finding junk in the radiator... Must be all that cheap stop leak I used in the past... I swear if I saved all the money I spent on unnecessary crap I could have bought a blower and all the supporting parts. Time to get a coolant filter and clean it like every day lol Also changed the rear shocks on the Maverick.
