Flywheel Grinding

    fordman is right you should always seat the converter on the tranny then put it in if you pull the tranny to the motor you will ruin the pump

    PA makes a bellhousing that fits both flywheels.

    A .100" starter shim took care of problem. Started up with no grinding at all. If you take what 71Gold said about the snout being longer in the 164 tooth converter then it all adds up. I added a .281" spacer +.100" shim = .381". The 164 converter snout was .375 longer.
