if we dont sell the comet i was thinking about new coils and leafs so it will set back up where it should be, it has the shelby drop? done to it now. it looks cool but rides alittle stiff and i like the we some of the mavs and comets on here look when at the reg ride hight. question is what springs have you used to get them at reg height. our is a v8 a/t with ac car thanks whitey
Man you can change the springs but don't change the stance!! That car has a killer stance, I love t the way it is, true hot rod.
My car had a stance like ur's when I got it. I liked the way it looked, but did'nt like the ride. I replaced all the springs. The frt springs that were on the car had been recently replaced w/ some coil material cut - rode like S!!!. I repaced them w/ new "Moog 8306" coils. Ride quality much better w/ new coils but sacrficed low stance. I replaced rear leafs w/ 4leaf HD springs. I shud have removed the bottom leaf B4 I installed them - it rides a little stiff. Some who have the same 4 leafs - don't have a issue w/ the stiff ride. I will eventually remove a leaf and I think I will have the ride quality somewhere close to where I want it to be. I guess spring vs stance is a trial and error thing. Allso, for me, it's ride over stance - for others there are different parameters. It's all an individual thing. i dig the rake to i think its bitchin but i like the look of the regular ride height also, i would rather leave this one as is and sell it and buy another one with a 6banger and reg ride height
